Analysis-Plus Oval S-Video Cables

S-Video cables can bring a dramatic improvement over composite video connections. But most S-Video cables on the market can't handle the long cable runs needed for large home theater systems. The result is compromised picture quality and less than perfect sound.

Oval S-Video cable is ideal for short and long cable runs alike. It can easily handle lengths up to 100 feet, making it the cable of choice for dedicated home theater environments. The secret is the silver-plated copper conductors that maximize signal transfer, plus an oval braided shield that surrounds and protects the low-level signal from electromagnetic interference (EMI). The twin symmetrical conductors also benefit from a special low loss dielectric. A cable this good deserves a suitably massive connector. The specially designed "custom oval" Mini-DIN optimizes performance by mating to the cable to provide a true 360-degree shield against noise and interference.
